I’m Damian Sciberras, an ethical documentary filmmaker and freelance video editor based in Devon, UK. I specialise in producing impact films and videos that drive positive change.
Editing remotely allows me to collaborate with clients including Ed Winters (Earthling Ed), Joey Carbstrong, Plant Based News and Everkind Digital, where I have created both short and long form content with strong narratives and purpose driven messages.
Alongside editing, I also create complete short films from concept to delivery, working independently or bringing together small teams for businesses, NGOs and social impact projects.
My debut short film, Saved By Jane (2022), tells the story of one woman’s mission to rescue over 130 farm animals and went on to win festival awards including Best Short Documentary, Best Educational Film and the Green Planet Award.
In 2025, I released my latest documentary short More Like Paul, about 88 year old vegan ultramarathon runner Paul Youd, who is aiming to complete 100 ultramarathons before he turns 100. The film celebrates resilience, finding purpose and the power of living by example and has so far won three festival awards including Best Documentary Short.
My vision is to work with people and organisations committed to helping others, protecting animals and creating a more compassionate and sustainable world.
